Printed maps

The National Land Survey publishes printed maps of entire Finland in the scales 1:25 000 (basic map) and 1:50 000 (topographic map).

The basic map 1:25 000 shows the property division, roads, houses, waters, fields, patterns of the terrain and elevations as well as conservation areas and nature reserves.

The topographic map 1:50 000 gives a more general picture of the ground features than the basic map. The basic atlas covers the whole country.

What do you see on the basic map?

The basic map shows the property division, roads, houses, waterways, cultivated areas, topographic features and elevation as well as conservation and protected areas. The basic atlas covers the whole of Finland.
