Multi-spectral personal laser scanning for automated environment characterization (MPLSAC)

The research project focuses on developing multispectral personal laserscanning for environment characterization. Laser scanning is a technique to provide 3D data for virtual reality and maps. Laser scanners are utilized for mapping of environment to manage, monitor, and explore. Concept of multi-spectral laser scanning incorporates a set of laser sources operating at different wavelengths across the visible spectrum simultaneously to characterize the environment in color. Multispectral personal laserscanning eliminates the need for passive imaging sensors by allowing spectral sensing independently on external light source.
