Cadastral survey fees face a three per cent rise in January

17.12.2010

In addition to registration fees, cadastral survey fees are subjected to change at the turn of the year. The cadastral survey fees will increase by three per cent on average.

The prices of the most common type of cadastral survey, parcelling, increase by 3.2 per cent. The prices of cadastral surveys charged according to the working hours used increase by 2.7 per cent. An exception to the minor percentage increases makes the fees for expropriation surveys concerning reliction and joint property units, which will increase by 26.1 per cent.

The increase in fees is intended to cover the cost of labour in full.

The new prices are applied to issues decided after 1 January 2011. Surveys are typically handled for months, and therefore there is no need to hasten the filing of applications to the District Survey Office.

The Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry concerning cadastral survey fees comes into force 1 January 2011 and will be effective until 31 December 2012. The prices were last adjusted two years ago.

The new prices will be added soon at www.finlex.fi (in Finnish and Swedish)
