The waiting is over - property boundaries on MapSite

It is now possible to view property boundaries as well as property identifiers through the MapSite. Property boundaries are shown in scales 1:2 000 - 1:16 000 and property identifiers in scales 1:2 000-1:4 000. The data is provided from the cadastre and is updated once a month.

How to operate the service

Use the following steps for viewing property boundaries and identifiers on the MapSite. First, search an interesting object on the map and select the scale, for instance 1:2 000. Click ”Settings” on the right of the service, then from ” Show selected features on the map” select the option ”Cadastral units” and click ”Apply” at the end of the list. If you wish to see the property boundaries and identifiers more clearly, go to ”Map colours” and select ”Light” and then click ”Apply” at the end of the list. The property boundaries and identifiers will remain visible on the map even if you zoom in or out or move on the map. The selected settings remain the same only for one session at a time.   

If you wish, you can change the map image size and the coordinate system in use from the “Settings”. A larger map image than the standard one is also available. 

Data updates

Maps in scales 1:500 000 - 1:12 million are updated in version 1 / 2011. For instance the nomenclature data, on which the place name search is based, has also been updated.
