The accessibility audit was carried out with the automated Salvia testing service. A total of 185 websites were audited in the automatic audits performed during AVIs first accessibility auditing period.

Issues found only in contrast ratios

In the audit, the Maanmittauslaitos.fi website’s accessibility was found to be good.

The report only highlighted one issue, which was contrast ratios of text. With an insufficient contrast ratio, people with low vision or colour blindness may have trouble reading the text. Black text on a white background usually has the best contrast ratio.

The found issues will be fixed early in the year.

AVI supervises accessibility

The Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019) requires public sector organisations and some third sector organisations to meet a set of accessibility requirements. In Finland, AVI supervises that the requirements are met.
