Disruptions in the National Land Survey's Map services has been resolved

Disruptions in the National Land Survey's Map services has been resolved, and Paikkatietoikkuna has returned to normal.

The cause of the disruption was a system update.

Update 20 March at 9:30

The Land Information Service is functioning as usual. In Paikkatietoikkuna, historical aerial photos are not shown from 1995–2008.

We will give an update when the disruption has been resolved or no later than Wednesday 25 March at 10:00 on this page.

Some historical photographs are not shown in Paikkatietoikkuna. but most of them are shown as usual.

Update 19 March at 11:00

The geodataportal Paikkatietoikkuna and MapSite are functioning as usual again. In the Land Information System aerial photos are not shown in the most detailed scales.

Update 18 March at 9:00

The disruption is also affecting the Land Information Service and the MapSite. Aerial photos are not shown in the service when you zoom in to look at the most detailed scales.

Update 12 March at 14:30

The disruption will be corrected by Friday 20 March 2026. After the correction, historical aerial photos and orthophoto proucts will be available as usual.Disruptions have affected the National Land Survey’s Map services.


Historical aerial photos are currently not available via the geoportal Paikkatietoikkuna.

Due to the disruption, orthophoto products are shown as they were on 11 March 2026 via the WMTS interface and orthophoto products are not available at all until further notice via the WMS interface.

We are looking into the causes of the disruption. We will give an update when the disruption has been resolved or no later than Friday 13 March at 9:00 on this page.
