Why is the property I have bought not shown in the NLS e-service?
Delays have affected registrations of property conveyances. It can currently take up to four weeks from when the purchase deed was signed until the information is shown in the e-service.
What are the opening hours of the service point?

Any exceptional opening hours will be updated on this page, so we recommend checking it before your visit.
How can I book an appointment at customer service?
The Customer service appointments webpage contains instructions and links to the reservation pages of the various service points.
How do I cancel a booked appointment?
When you booked an appointment at our service point, you received a confirmation e-mail from us. The message contains instructions on how to cancel your appointment and a link for doing so.
If the e-mail message has disappeared, or the appointment is less than 24 hours away, you can cancel your appointment by sending an e-mail to asiakaspalvelu@maanmittauslaitos.fi. Use the subject line ‘Appointment cancellation’. In your cancellation message, write the time, date, and location of your appointment.
Please note that in-person appointments are available in Finnish only, and in Swedish at the service points in Helsinki, Kokkola and Vaasa.
How do I apply for registration of ownership of my apartment?
If you have a paper share certificate, you can apply for registration of ownership of your apartment in the NLS e-service (in Finnish) and send the share certificate by post to Vaasa or bring it to one of our customer service points.
If your apartment has an electronic record of ownership, you can apply for registration of ownership using our form (in Finnish).

Why is my apartment matter decision taking such a long time?
There are delays in the processing of apartment matters. The processing time for registration of ownership is currently 4–5 months. The delay in processing may be longer than that. You can expedite the registration of ownership for a justifiable reason (for example, a housing transaction is coming up).
Average application processing times
When will I receive my cancelled share certificate?
There are delays in returning cancelled share certificates to owners who have requested them. Cancelled certificates will be sent within approx. one month following the registration of ownership.
How do I update my contact information in the Residential and Commercial Property Information System?
The postal address of the apartment owner is generally updated automatically from the Population Information System.
If you are unsure whether your contact information is correct in the Residential and Commercial Property Information System, you can check the information in the NLS e-service (individual customers, in Finnish and in Swedish and organisational customers, in Finnish and in Swedish).
If you wish to receive an invitation to the housing company general meeting by e-mail and your e-mail has changed, you can notify us of the new e-mail address via the e-service.
I am the building manager or chairperson of the board of the housing company. How do I submit the administrative information of the housing company to the Residential and Commercial Property Information System?
Housing companies that do not use a building management system can submit the information in the National Land Survey's online service (in Finnish). The list of shares and the contact information to the apartment owners are also available in the service to the housing company.
I’m having my apartment renovated. Do I need to inform the National Land Survey of the renovation?
Inform the building manager or the housing company board chairperson of a renovation in your apartment. As the apartment owner, you do not need to inform the National Land Survey of the renovation.
