Apartment information and how to use it

The Residential and Commercial Property Information System contains extensive information on Finnish housing companies and apartments. The system includes, for example, the following information:

  • basic details of the housing company and apartment
  • owner of the apartment
  • restrictions related to the apartment
  • pledges on the apartment.

The content of the system will be expanded so that by summer 2026, the following additional data will also be available:

  • maintenance and renovation details for the housing company and apartment
  • housing company and apartment loan responsibilities
  • condominium charges.

How to Get Apartment Information

Various services are available for professional use of apartment information. You need permission to access the information. The information is subject to a fee. Apartment information can be accessed free of charge by housing companies, building managers, and public authorities.

Apartment information can only be used for a justified reason. The authorities may use information extensively in official activities. Other users need to explain what they need the information for.

When You Want to View Information

You can view information about your apartment in the E-service. In the e-service, you can also check whether the housing company has your up-to-date contact information.

Housing companies and property managers can access the company’s information free of charge through Housing company share register transfer service (in Finnish).

Printouts from the Residential and Commercial Property Information System

Printouts include information about the housing company, the apartment and the owner.

You can purchase individual apartment printouts. For professional use, printouts are available through the interface service.

When you want to use the interface in an application

Apartment information and apartment printouts can be imported into your own information system through the API services.  

Using the API services requires a contract. The services can be used on a trial-basis before the contract is concluded.

An agreement is required to use the interface services. It is possible to try our services before signing the contract. You also need a permit to use the data. A permit may be granted if the intended use is one of the following:

  • conveyance of housing company shares
  • management of security deposits or similar activities
  • housing company administration and shareholder information rights
  • research and statistics.
