The Residential and Commercial Property Information System is an electronic register containing information on the ownership of apartments, business premises, and parking spaces. It also includes data on pledges and restrictions.
The system includes, for example, the following information:
- basic details of the housing company and apartment
- owner of the apartment
- restrictions related to the apartment
- pledges on the apartment.
The content of the system will be expanded so that by summer 2026, the administrative data for housing companies will also be available administrative data for housing companies, such as
- maintenance and renovation details for the housing company and apartment
- housing company and apartment loan responsibilities
- condominium charges.
The Residential and Commercial Property Information System is maintained by the National Land Survey, housing companies, property managers, and banks.
Basic information about housing companies
Basic housing company data comes from the Finnish Trade Register and includes:
- contact details
- board of directors
- articles of association
Owner apartment information
The National Land Survey registers the following in the system:
- ownership
- pledges
- rights of use (such as widow(er)’s right of possession or testamentary rights)
Administrative information of housing companies
By summer 2026, the system will include the administrative records of housing companies, such as maintenance and renovation details for the housing company, and housing company loan information.
The maintenance and renovation that is registered in the Residential and Commercial Property Information System are
- maintenance needs assessments
- housing company-initiated renovations
- renovations reported by shareholders.
Housing companies and property managers may begin updating administrative data in the system from 1 June 2025.
