The list of shares includes the basic information of the housing company, its apartments, and their owners.
There are three versions of the list of shares:
- The public list of shares includes the basic information of the housing company, its apartments, and their owners.
- It is also possible to purchase an extract printout of the public list of shares that only includes the information about a single apartment.
- The housing company’s list of shares, which shows the owners’ addresses and dates of birth in addition to their names.
The list of shares and the extract from the list of shares are subject to a charge.

A representative of the housing company can get both the list of shares and shareholder contact information free of charge from the National Land Survey’s Housing company share register transfer service (in Finnish or Swedish).
See printout examples of a list of shares (all examples are in Finnish):
- Example 1 (pdf), public list of shares
- Example 2 (pdf), list of shares for the housing company’s own use
Amendments made by the housing company to the articles of association are shown in the list of shares.
Why is the ownership information missing from the list of shares?
In some cases, the list of shares does not contain information about the apartment owner:
- The housing company has not provided the ownership information when transferring the list of shares.
- The housing company has made an amendment to the articles of association, and the amended information has not been registered in the Residential and Commercial Property Information System yet. Read more about amendments to the articles of association.
- Transfer tax has not been paid, the whole amount has not been paid, the transfer tax form has not been sent or contains an error. The apartment owner should contact the Tax Administration to solve the matter.
- The owner has a non-disclosure for personal safety reasons. The name and secure address of such a person are shown in the list of shares available only to the housing company.
Description of sections of list of shares
Company
This section shows the basic information about the company: business ID, business name, company form, residency, and registration date. This information is information from the Trade Register. Moreover, the basic information tells in which municipality and on which property the buildings are located.
Note! The property identifier has been given by the housing company, and a change in the identifier is not updated in the Residential and Commercial Property Information System automatically.
Share groups and owners
This section shows information about the group of shares, the owners of record on the list of shares, and restrictions noted in the list of shares.
The section also shows whether the apartment has an electronic registration of ownership or a paper share certificate.
Groups of shares are shown in order of size according to share numbers, e.g. shares 1–100, 101–200, etc. An apartment number contains information about the staircase letter, apartment number, and apartment letter (e.g. A 1b).
After the apartments, the parking spaces are shown in numerical order, and finally other spaces (e.g. separate storerooms) are shown in numerical order.
Personal information includes dates of birth, names, and addresses. If a person has a non-disclosure for personal safety reasons, the person’s name and secure address are shown in the list of shares available only to the housing company.
Please note! The list of shareholders does not show ownership information if the new owner of an apartment has applied for registration of the ownership but has not paid transfer tax yet.
