AI-HSL

Forests are central to achieving SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land), as they contribute to climate change mitigation, biodiversity conservation, and global ecological balance. Hyperspectral LiDAR (HSL), a new remote sensing (RS) technology that integrates hyperspectral imaging and LiDAR, exhibits immense potential in forests. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have highlighted the transformative impact of foundation models on Earth observation tasks using RS data. FGI has successfully developed multiple generations of HSL systems, the latest one incorporates features such as a wide field of view, eye-safe operation, and high spectral resolution. Leveraging this expertise and recent AI developments, this project aims to establish a comprehensive framework, integrating HSL system design, AI-driven modeling, and practical applications in forests.
