Geodata Science and Geocomputation

The main focus of Geodata Science and Geocomputation research group is in developing efficient analysis methods that can utilize high-performance computing resources. In addition to algorithm development we also study new and innovative ways to aggregate different data sets in analyses.
Our research topics include preserving privacy in the analyses of big data containing people’s movement data, numerical simulations, such as modelling surficial water flow based on digital elevation model, and estimating the uncertainty of the results of different analyses.
