Fennoscandian landscape evolution: solving the misfits in GIA modelling (FennoLE-GIA)

Logo of Academy of Finland

We analyse the post glacial rebound in Fennoscandia. The goal of the research is to compute a new land uplift model for the Fennoscndian area and use it to study the postglacial landscape evolution in Fennoscandia. The uplift model will contain realistic uncertainties for parameters and predictions, to serve societal applications like predictions of future sea level change, geological datasets and an establishment of geodetic reference frames. The landscape evolution studies will be carried out at the Department of Physical Geography at the Stockholm University.
