Most applications regarding apartments are done on PDF forms. It is not necessary to sign the application form.
Applications regarding properties
Of the applications regarding properties, only mortgage applications need to be signed.
If you make a mortgage application
- in the Property Transaction Service, sign the application electronically in the service.
- in the NLS e-service, you do not need to sign the application separately when you are logged in.
- on a PDF form, sign the application manually.
Applications regarding cadastral surveys
If you make the application in the NLS e-service, you do not need to sign the application separately. If you make the application on a form to be posted, sign the application manually.
You can sign possible powers of attorney and contracts manually or electronically.
Qualified electronic signatures
All attachments to applications cannot be signed electronically according to law, they must be signed manually. The requirements of some attachments are not so strict, so those applications can be signed electronically. The methods of electronic signatures are
- signature based on authentication, that is advanced electronic signature
- for example, authentication by using online banking codes or a mobile certificate
- the highest level of electronic signature, that is a qualified electronic signature
- for example, an identity card with a chip
- a signature in the Property Transaction Service
- Please note! Can only be used on applications made in the Property Transaction Service.
More information about various electronic signatures is available on the website of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency (DPDSA). In the validation service maintained by the DPDSA, you can check whether your method of signature is the highest level of electronic signature.
Send an electronically signed attachment in electronic form. The National Land Survey may, if necessary, ask to resend an electronically signed attachment to validate the integrity of the signature.
Methods of signing attachments to applications
The table below shows the attachments and which type of signature is sufficient for them.
If the required signature is an electronic signature based on authentication you can always sign the attchment by using the highest level of electronic signature.
