For most property owners, the deadlines of the real estate tax ruling are in August and October or September and November.

Area information on the real estate tax return

In the case of the real estate tax and the property information that affects it, contact the Finnish Tax Administration directly. Corrections cannot be made by phone.

NLS only has information on the total area of the property, which is why the area information of the NLS may be in contradiction with the area information of the Tax Administration. NLS cannot change the purpose of the property or the Tax Administration's area information. The purpose for which the land is used affects the real estate tax.

Correcting building and apartment information

If you want to correct the building or apartment information of your property, contact the municipality where the property is located.

Building and apartment data is stored in the building and apartment register (RHR), which is maintained by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. The Digital and Population Data Services Agency maintains and checks the register in collaboration with municipalities and building supervision authorities.
